Peptide chatter in my mom group: real or hype?

Tbh Two kids, 7 and 3, and our 5:30pm dinner is basically a snack-drawer raid: string cheese, pretzels, apple slices. I've been on a GLP-1 for 14 weeks and I'm down 18 lbs, but my 3pm brain still whispers about the pantry.

Lately I keep seeing Dihexa, Cerebrolysin, P-21, IGF-1 LR3, Pinealon, SLU-PP-332, and myostatin inhibitors mentioned in random threads. I'm not asking for doses or sources, just curious what real life looks like for people who aren't bodybuilders or biohackers.

Does anyone actually notice anything with these, or is it mostly noise and expensive pee? I'm too tired to chase a rabbit hole, but I'm also nosy. If you've tried any, what made you stick with it or drop it? Bonus points if you're also hiding veggies in pasta and forgetting your own vitamins.

The peptide list in mom groups makes me side-eye hard. I’ve gone down the PubMed rabbit hole: Cerebrolysin has some human stroke/TBI data but not appetite/weight; SLU-PP-332 is basically mouse exercise-mimetic stuff; Dihexa/P-21/Pinealon look pretty preclinical.

Myostatin inhibitors are a real drug class, but for muscle conditions, not pantry whispers. Sharp question: has anyone actually found a peer-reviewed human RCT for Dihexa or P-21? Not rat studies, not Reddit.

Also, for my 3pm crash, tracking protein/fiber at lunch plus a 10-min walk helped way more than any supplement.

I’ve been logging my own 3pm pantry raids for 3 weeks: the trigger is almost always low lunch protein + bad sleep, not the pantry itself. On days I do 30g protein at lunch and a 10-min walk before pickup, my urge drops from 7/10 to 3/10.

I also price-tracked the snack drawer—pre-portioned bags run me ~$1.10 each vs ~$2.75 for convenience packs, so I’m not saving money by grazing. Are your rough afternoons clustered on low-protein-lunch days, or is it more the 5:30 witching-hour chaos?
