On the pill and reta: how do you track cycle noise?

I'm four months into reta, and I've been on the combined pill for years. Appetite is quieter, but my last two cycles felt off—more spotting and a stretch of queasy mornings.

I'm not asking for dosing advice; I already left a note for my clinic. What I'm really curious about: if you're on hormonal birth control and a GLP-1/reta, do you keep a separate symptom log so you can tell side effect vs. cycle noise?

My small win is a notes app page with three columns—sleep, nausea, spotting—and it takes maybe 20 seconds before bed. It's already made me less panicky about every twinge. If you track something similar, what columns do you use? And do you bring it up at every appointment or only when something new shows up?

I keep two tabs: cycle/pill-pack week (spotting 0/1, cramps, mood, sleep) and a separate symptom log for queasy mornings/appetite. Overlaying them as a line chart was humbling—my nausea clusters didn’t track jab day at all; they tracked poor sleep + low protein days.

My spotting trendline also looked worse in the last pill-pack week, not mid-cycle. Curious: are you tracking by calendar cycle day or by pill-pack week?

Switching to pack week changed my whole pattern, and a normal month view was hiding it. n=1, obviously.

I work nights too. My tracker is a cheap paper wall calendar. I mark N/off, sleep hours, and whether I ate after 3am.

My queasy patch lines up wth weird eating times, not pack week. Spotting gets an S. Also log time of day—my “morning” is 6pm. Are you noting when the queasy hits?

If it’s always after a night shift, that’s a different pattern than pill-week stuff. That’s the column I’d add before touching anything.
