found a yogurt that actually survives my 2am snack cravings

so i've been doing the soda swap experiment for like 9 weeks now, mostly sparkling water and the occasional diet root beer, and the one thing keeping me from raiding the pantry at 1am is this thick plain yogurt i stumbled on. it's got something like 20g protein per cup and i just stir in a spoon of honey and some frozen berries.

tastes like dessert but doesn't send me into a snack spiral afterward. weirdly it's cheaper than the little flavored cups too.

used to crush a whole sleeve of oreos during a ranked session, now i'm sitting here with a small glass bowl of this stuff and honestly? i'm fine with it. the texture is the whole thing, it's almost like cheesecake filling without the guilt hangover.

anyway what's your late night go-to that doesn't wreck the rest of your day? i'm running out of ideas and the same bowl gets old after a while.

Nine weeks of soda swapping is awesome — that’s a real habit shift. Your yogurt hack sounds so good.

One thing that helped me with the late-night pantry goblin: I prep two small jars right after dinner (yogurt + frozen cherries + a shake of cinnamon), then if 2am hits, I just grab one and go back to bed. No measuring, no honey drizzle turning into a drizzle situation.

Do you find the yogurt actually keeps you full till morning, or are you hungry again by 4? I’m trying to figure out if I need a little nut butter with mine for staying power.

Your nine-week soda swap is impressive. I have landed on a similar late-night bowl, but I prep it in a small 8-ounce jar: plain Greek yogurt, a few frozen cherries, and a teaspoon of honey, then let it thaw in the fridge so it gets syrupy by 10 p.m.

Tracking weekly averages instead of daily has helped me see that this actually lowers my overall evening calories, because I am not grazing while deciding. One question: do you measure the honey, or just estimate it?

I find a level teaspoon is enough for me, but I am curious how others keep it simple.

Nice. For recomp I’d be curious about the carb/protein ratio, not just the 20g.

I do something similar but pre-portion 3/4 cup into jars with frozen cherries and a measured teaspoon of honey so it’s not a free-pour at 2am. Microwaving the cherries for 45 sec makes it feel way more dessert than it should.

Do you log the yogurt/honey/berries as a meal, or is it just a hunger kill switch? Only asking because when I stopped tracking my late snack, my weekly average protein quietly slipped.
