Something I didn't expect at this stage. I'm roughly a year and a half past goal, coasting along, tracking only loosely.
Saturday I made the same pasta bake I've made for a decade — same pan, same jarred sauce, same habit of eyeballing the cheese — and for once I dished up my old portion without thinking. Halfway through I stopped, not because I was being disciplined, but because it genuinely looked like more food than I wanted.
Nothing about my willpower changed. The internal math just recalibrated somewhere I wasn't watching.
Same thing at a work lunch this week.
The sandwich came with a pile of fres I used to finish without noticing, and I ate maybe eight and then forgot they existed. That's the odd part — forgetting, not resisting. Curious if this landed for anyone else, or if you still have to consciously talk yourself down from the old portion sizes.
