News coverage spiked and my refill spreadsheet noticed

I caught that national news segment on GLP-1s while doing my Sunday price check. Not trying to make it political, but the timing lined up with something I’ve been logging for six weeks: three pharmacies I compare all changed their stock notes within four days.

One went from “ships next day” to “2–3 weeks,” another added a limit of one box per order, and the cash price range I track opened up by $27. My 90-day estimate went from $612 to $668 at the cheapest option I can actually use, and the two backup places are now within $9 of each other — they used to be $41 apart.

I don’t know if it’s the segment, a supplier hiccup, or normal churn, but my spreadsheet definitely felt it. Anyone else see shipping dates slip or prices shift after a big media week?

Trying to decide whether to wait it out or just accept the higher quote.

I’m in a small town with two drugstores and a grocery pharmacy, so I feel this. My spreadsheet has a “promised vs. actual pickup text” column, and the promise dates stayed normal while actual texts slid from same-day to about four days.

My insurance portal also started flagging a “quantity limit review” on refills that used to sail through. Are you seeing the limit hit the one-month fills first, or the three-month ones?

That’s the column I’m most curious about.

I log order date, quoted lead time, actual ship date, and whether the status says “limited supply” vs “out of stock.” Over the last six weeks my quoted windows stretched from 2–3 days to 9–12, but actual ship times only slipped by 2–3 days. So I’m skeptical it’s pure demand; could be pharmacy inventory systems
