Two kids, dinner is basically a hostage negotiation, and I used to graze standing at the counter the whole time I was cooking. Six weeks ago I got fed up and just moved things around. The snack drawer is now the fruit drawer — apples, clementines, those mini peppers — right at eye level.
The crackers and granola bars went into a lidded bin on the top shelf, where I have to drag the step stool out to reach them. Sounds dumb, but now I'm eating an apple while I plate nuggets instead of four crackers plus whatever's left on the pan.
Down 9 lbs since March, and the jeans that used to need the lay-down-and-wiggle trick zip up normal now. Not magic, just fewer mindless handfuls. Has anyone else swapped what lives in their easy-reach spot? What's in yours right now?
