I unlock a small breakfast place at 5:30, so by 10 a.m. I've already tasted three muffins, a biscuit, and the soup.
I used to call that quality control. Since March I've dropped 31 pounds, and the change that helped most was making myself a plate and sitting in the back for ten minutes before service. Not fancy—eggs, fruit, toast.
The point is I'm not arriving at lunch already full of scraps. The pastry case still talks to me, though.
What's your workaround when the food you sell is also the food you want to eat?
