For what it's worth, Figured I'd post this as its own thread since I know I'm not the only one living in plateau purgatory. Started in January, and as of this morning I'm 41 lbs down.
The first several months were boringly consistent — about 1.5 lbs a week, jeans falling off, had to rebuy them twice. Then week 18 rolled around and everything just... stopped.
I've been bouncing between 178 and 180 for five straight weeks now.
I weigh my food, I'm hitting around 130g protein, I walk 8k steps on work days and lift three times a week. Sleep has been garbage thanks to a work deadline, which I'm sure isn't helping.
I'm not gaining, so it's not a crisis, but staring at 179 for the fifth Monday in a row is grinding me down. I keep telling myself the scale is the last thing to move and my waistband does feel a little different, but emotionally it's a slog.
For anyone who busted a long plateau, what actually changed — did you switch something up, ride it out, or was it something dumb like water and salt?
