Night shift mirror caught something besides eyebags

I work 7p-7a, three nights a week. Been at this since February. Down 31 pounds. No hype. The scale has been boring lately.

Tuesday morning I got home, took off my work shirt, and saw two shallow cuts at my lower ribs. Angled toward my hips. Not shredded. Just visible. I stared at the bathroom mirror like a weirdo.

For once the win wasn't a number or a food log. It was proof my body is changing in places I don't measure.

I still have a gut. I still hate night-shift eating. But I'll take it.

Anyone else see weird new landmarks before the scale admits anything?

Night shift here too. I’d check if those marks line up with your belt edge or a shirt seam before calling it a win.

My “progress” shows up as crease marks from work pants, not abs. Boring tracking that works for me: same mirror, same light, Tuesday after last shift, one front photo and one side. Once a week.

Scale flat for a month, but my belt notch moved and my old work shirt hung different. Do the cuts run along a clothing seam?

If yes, that’s laundry, not fat loss.
