Considering a move from semaglutide to tirzepatide, what shifted for you?

I have been on semaglutide for about fourteen months and have lost 58 pounds. I track weekly averages rather than daily weights, because daily fluctuations make me restless.

Since mid-June, my weekly average has been moving only 0.1 to 0.3 pounds, while my appetite in the late afternoon has started feeling louder again. I am not looking for dosing guidance, but I am curious how people knew it was time to discuss a change with their clinician.

For those who moved from semaglutide to tirzepatide, what changed first for you: appetite, side effects, energy, or something else? Did your weekly averages respond gradually, or in a way you could see within the first month?

I want to be thoughtful rather than chase every slow stretch, so I would appreciate hearing both the helpful and the unremarkable parts of your experience.

Not a switcher yet, but your 4pm hunger thing is so real. My weekly average went flat for like six weeks and the only thing that budged it was adding a boring protein anchor at 3:30 — dorm mini-fridge Greek yogurt with sugar-free pudding mix, or a tuna packet if I’m feeling fancy/desperate.

I also track a 1–5 “afternoon gremlin” score in the same spreadsheet as my weekly average; it explains stalls better than the scale sometimes. Did yours come with a specific craving, like sweet vs. carb-y?

That changed whether I needed actual food or just a walk/coffee. Also, a 0.1–0.3 lb weekly average is still a direction, even if it’s annoyingly scenic. Congrats on 58!
