A surprise GI day and I’m taking notes

not looking for a diagnosis, just wondering if this matches anyone else’s pattern. I’ve been on a GLP-1 for about seven months, mostly constipation if anything.

This week I had a completely normal Tuesday — coffee, yogurt, leftover chicken and rice — and then about two hours later my gut flipped and I spent the afternoon doing the bathroom-location math. It felt different from a stomach bug: no fever, no chills, just urgency and loose stool for maybe six hours, then done.

In the trials, GI effects are common and often settle, but I’m always unsure whether a one-off is the medication, something I ate, or just my body being a body. I don’t want to change anything based on one weird day, but I also don’t want to ignore a trend.

For those who’ve had this pop up after months of stability, did it stay a blip or become a pattern?

Ugh, those surprise GI days are so humbling. One tiny correction from my own notes: actually I think it is more like 2–6 hours for some delayed food-gut reactions, not always the two-hour mark — at least that’s what my simple time/food/gut 1–5 log showed.

The leftover rice detail caught my eye: was it freshly cooked or a day or two old? I started noting “fresh vs leftover” and “coffee before/after food,” and it gave me a useful pattern without changing much.

Small win: you’re taking notes instead of guessing. How’s your hydration and walking been
