First digit flipped on a random Thursday weigh-in

Night shift again. Home at 7. Weighed before bed. 199.4. No celebration. Wrote it in the notebook. Three months ago I was 218. Same lunch, same walking loop, same boring schedule.

The only hype I bought was a better lunch bag. I don't feel different. Knees complain less on stairs. Sleep is still trash.

For people on nights: do you weigh at the same weird time every day, or just whenever? I need a rule that doesn't make me nuts.

Night-shift person here. I stopped comparing my pre-bed weight to my “morning” weights—they’re two different animals.

I log post-sleep (even if that’s 4 p.m.) in one column and end-of-shift in another, and only judge the weekly median within each. My post-sleep number usually runs a bit lower, but the 4-week line is what I trust.

Concrete question: are you weighing after your main sleep block or at the end of the shift? If 199.4 was pre-bed after trash sleep, I’d file it as one data point, not a verdict.

The stairs thing is the real signal.
