Twelve months of upkeep and my stamina is different

I’m a year out from losing a lot of weight, around 150 lbs, and my weekly weigh-ins have been flat for months. Frustrating at first. But I noticed my resting heart rate dropped from 78 to 62 since spring, and I can carry two full laundry baskets up the stairs without stopping.

Same number on the scale, totally different daily life. I still want the scale to move sometimes, but I’m trying to track what my body can do instead.

Anyone else in maintenance watching non-scale wins stack up while the weight just sits there?

This is the kind of progress I keep forgetting to count. I lost then regained a chunk of mine, and while I’m back at it the scale has been stuck for weeks.

What’s actually shifted: I can do the grocery run without my lower back yelling, and my sleep tracker shows fewer wake-ups. I’ve startd noting one “real life” win each week beside my weigh-in—stairs, energy at 4pm, how clothes fit—because the number alone makes me want to quit.

Curious: did the stamina changes show up before or after the scale flattened for you? I’m trying to learn what my body does first.
