My support system is a group chat and a lunchbox

My support system for this GLP-1 chapter had to be portable, because I’m on the road most weeks. Mine is three people: my sister, who sends chaotic but effective voice notes; a coworker who does a quick check-in with me on Fridays; and my college best friend, who mainly asks if I’ve eaten something with protein before I make any big decisions.

We have a group chat called Plate Club.

No scale photos, just stuff like “I packed the good yogurt” or “walked the long way to coffee.” This week I crossed two time zones, and I still hit my water goal because my sister texted at 8pm: “Bottle status?” That tiny nudge beats any app notification. Does your support look like people, routines, or a weird hybrid?

I’m trying to build a backup plan for weeks when everyone’s busy.

Chaotic voice notes + protein check-ins = elite support squad 😂

lol the friday coworker erasure. actually i think that's three people in the squad, not two — the friday check-in counts, that's the one keeping it from being pure vibes lol

mine's less cool: a discord channel with me and two friends, pinned message just says "water + protein before you decide anything." plus a sticky note taped in my lunchbox with the times i actually ate, cause by 8pm mid-raid i swear i've never eaten in my life. note's ugly but it's the only tracking i've ever kept up with.

is your sister's voice note thing a recurring bit or fresh chaos every time?

I added a shared note to our chat called “travel proof”—not weight, just three boxes: water bottle refilled, 10-min walk after lunch, something fibrous packed for the hotel. My sister edits it when I forget.

In the trials, adherence seems less abut motivation and more about removing friction, so this is my tiny friction-remover. Does your Friday check-in change when you’re on the road, or is it the same script?

I’m trying to figure out if mine should.
