Off reta fridge coach...

I stopped reta a little over two months ago, mostly because my budget and my supply both hit zero. I’m a dorm kid, so my old food pyramid was ramen, dining-hall pizza, and whatever free bagel appeared at club meetings.

During the run I got weirdly into cheap protein: tuna packets, cottage cheese, boiled eggs smuggled from the dining hall, lentils in a rice cooker I hide from my RA. The surprise is that the habits didn’t leave when the meds did.

Last night I made a tuna-rice-peas bowl instead of ordering $18 noodles, and I actually wanted it. Down maybe 22 lb from my start, holding steadyish for 9 weeks.

My roommate still says my fridge smells like a sad aquarium. Anyone else find the routine outlasts the pen?

Hi, I’m brand new here and only in week one, so sorry if this is a silly question. Your dorm-fridge-as-coach made me laugh because mine is currently a tiny guilt museum of yogurt and half a lime.

Did the tuna packets and cottage cheese actually stick after you stopped, or was it mostly momentum? I’m trying a cheap whiteboard inventory on my fridge: leftovers, protein, eat first. It’s nerdy but I waste less.

Also, how did you store the dining-hall boiled eggs without them smelling up the whole room? Mine always go weird by day two.

The dorm-fridge-coach thing is real, but I’d separate the fridge from the routine. My cheap setup: a $12 scale, dry-erase marker on the door, and I tally protein servings (not calories) for the day. Cottage cheese + frozen edamame +
