After seven Monday checks I can see my routines really got sloppy

I’m a three-year regular here, usually in the maintenance threads. Since early March I’ve logged seven Monday weigh-ins that barely budge—213.4 to 214.0. Not a crisis. Hunger is still manageable, workouts are consistent, sleep is decent.

But I noticed my evening handful-of-nuts habit crept back, and my weekend walks turned into errands. I’m not changing anything drastic; just tracking protein, steps, and monthly waist measurement again.

For those further out: do you wait for a full two months of no change before adjusting, or do you tweak as soon as the monthly average flattens?

Seven Mondays inside a 0.6 lb range honestly sounds like water/glycogen noise. My Monday single weigh-ins are junk compared to a 7-day average.

When my handful-of-nuts habit crept back, I started pre-porting 1 oz into those tiny condiment cups and logging it as a real entry, not a footnote. Weekend errands were sneakier: my step count dropped ~3k/day because parking lots

Night shift here too. Monday weigh-ins lie. I switched to daily weights and only compare 7-day averages.

The nuts: weigh them for a week. Don’t cut yet. Just see the number. A “handful” at 2am can be 300–500 cals.

Are you eating them standing at the counter? That’s my danger zone. I pre-bag a portion and put the jar back on a high shelf.

Weekend errands: track steps. Errands can look busy but be 3k steps. I only count walks with no cart and no list. Boring data, but it tells the truth.

Night shifter here. The nuts are the tell. I pre-log 1 oz into a tiny ramekin, then put the bag back in a high cabinet.

If I eat from the bag, it’s 3 oz before I blink. Weekend walks: I park far away for errands and count it as movement.

Question: are the nuts hapening at 3 a.m. or after dinner? That window matters for me. When I eat them at 3 a.m., I wake up bloated and the scale is up.

When I skip, Monday is boring.
