I logged when my refills actually arrive and it totally changed how I plan everything now

For the last five GLP-1 refills, I wrote down order date, ship date, arrival date, total cost, and whether the status page moved. Transit times: 3, 7, 4, 9, and 5 days. The two cheapest orders were also the two slowest, by about a week total.

One order said in stock, then sat for 48 hours before it actually shipped. That waiting changed how I budget my patience, not just my money. I'd rather pay $24 more and not refresh tracking every morning. Is anyone else comparing shipping lag and stock status the same way they compare price, or am I alone in this?

Hi, I’m brand new here—only week one—so this might be a silly question, but did you count calendar days or business days? I started a note in my phone with order date, label-created date, first real tracking scan, and delivery, because I got confused when “shipped” just meant a label printed.

That 48-hour sitting would’ve wrecked my budget too. I’ve started setting aside the refill cost about 10 days before I think I’ll need it, and I use the slowest past delivery as my planning number instead of the average.

Do you keep a buffer, or just reorder earlier after a slow one?

I’d split your numbers into order→ship and ship→delivery. My last six looked like 1/4, 4/5, 2/3, 6/4, 2/3, 3/6.

The killer wasn’t transit, it was the 4–6 day processing outliers. Cheapest = slowest might just be small-sample noise; my two cheapest were mid-pack on delivery but sat longest before label creation.

I budget using a 90th-percentile total lead time instead of average, then true up monthly. Are you tracking the status-page change as its own timestamp?

That’s the variable I’d test next.

I track the calendar, not just total transit. My slowest one was 9 days and both slow orders landed around a weekend/holiday, so now I add 3 buffer days if I order Thu/Fri.

I also log “coverage days on hand when it arrives” and set my reorder trigger off the slowest historical turnaround plus that buffer. For budget, I calculate cost per covered day including shipping, because a cheaper order that takes a week longer can cost more if it leaves a gap.

Anyone else seeing day-of-week patterns, or is it mostly random for you?
