Movement feels easier some days, then oddly heavy

I’m trying to sort out how much of my workout energy is the medication, how much is eating lighter, and how much is just sleep. On a normal day my 30-minute walk is fine, but by the last hill my legs turn into sandbags.

My heart rate seems a touch higher for the same pace, and I need more water. I don’t force it; if I feel off, I shorten the route.

Curious whether others notice a pattern with their energy, recovery, or motivation, and what gentle changes helped. No advice needed, just comparing notes.

I feel this in my bones—literally, some days my legs file a complaint. I’m a dorm rat too, so I started rating each walk: sleep hours, hours since last real meal, and water bottle empties.

Turns out my sandbag hill is almost always a <6-hour sleep night plus only coffee/yogurt before. Not a cure, just a pattern. Cheap fix for me: keep a banana or those tiny cereal boxes in my bag, and do the hill first while I’m fresh, then flat loop.

Question: is your heavy-leg day more tied to sleep, or to eating lighter/less salt than usual? I’m still figuring out if my higher HR is just less fuel or the med dial.
