Hit target, same grocery list

I’ve been at this for 14 months, and this morning the number landed at 158.6, which is the top of the range my clinician and I set. My first instinct was to overhaul everything: new macros, double workouts, a stricter plan.

Instead I ate my usual eggs and toast, took the dog for our 20-minute loop, and packed the same lunch. Honestly, the weird part is how quiet it feels. The habits that got me here are the same ones I can live with: protein at breakfast, water bottle on my desk, walk after dinner, lights out before 11.

I’m not saying nothing will ever change, but today I’m treating maintenance as a continuation, not a new project. For folks who’ve crossed a target: did you change your routine right away, or let it settle first?

Congrats—158.6 is a real milestone. The part I’d watch is having a maintenance tripwire, not a new plan.

I switched to a 7-day rolling average instead of reacting to one morning; same grocery list, but I weigh under the same conditions and track waist monthly. In the trials, regain tends to show up gradually, so a small buffer plus a review rule keeps the boring routine working.

Sharp question: did your clinician give you a maintenance range below the top, or is 158.6 the actual upper limit? I’m trying to decide whether to set mine at goal +2 or +5 before changing anything.

tbh night shift here too. Hitting goal is when the boring stuff matters most.

My maintenance rule: same grocery list, but I weigh daily and only care about the 7-day average. Up 2 lbs over baseline for two weeks?

I swap one snack for protein and add a 10-min walk after my shift. That’s it. No new macros. No double workouts. What’s your cutoff number or trend that makes you tweak?

That’s the part nobody plans for.
