The peptide hype is moving faster than my lifting log right now

I’m four lifting days a week, protein at 160g, sleep tracked, and I care more about waist-to-arm recomp than scale theater. Lately every other thread reads like a peptide is the hidden master switch.

My own log says otherwise: my bench and tape barely moved until I stopped missing sessions and started hitting protein on rest days. I’m not anti-peptide, but the hype feels louder than the boring stuff that actually holds my recomp together.

For people who already train hard and track food, did any of this stuff change your rate of progress beyond what consistency was already giving you?

Eh, I see it differently—my snack-drawer chaos says consistency beats hype; peptides were never my magic switch.

There was a thread last spring about tape-measure noise that saved my sanity: I started logging waist at the same spot/time, a 3-day average, and arm both relaxed and flexed. My “stall” mostly vanished—salty dinner and a late lift moved the tape more than anything new in my cabinet.

I also track session quality (top-set RPE, sleep, steps), not just sessions completed. Quick q: are you measuring waist at navel or narrowest point, and at the same time each week?

I’d tighten the measurement before chasing a master switch.
