I’m a daily weigher, but I’m trying to be a trend-line person. My rule for the last month: three lifting sessions, two easy walks, and one true do-nothing day. Yesterday was supposed to be the do-nothing day. I still ran errands, vacuumed, and hit 8,100 steps by dinner.
This morning the scale was up 0.7 from a salty soup, and my trend line didn’t even blink. It’s funny how I can trust the trend for weight noise but not for recovery noise. I keep treating rest like a loophole instead of part of the plan. For folks who actually rest: what counts?
Full couch day, no planned exercise but normal life, or just lower intensity? I’m trying to learn the difference between lazy and recovered.
