The part people forget about the Mazdutide phase 2 extension is that it's randomized and double-blind, so nobody in it knows their own arm — every anecdote floating around is somebody guessing. Worth knowing before comparing options: the numbers coming out of that cohort are interesting.
Starting BMI around 34.2, weight down about 9.6% by week 20. Fasting glucose 103 to 96, A1c 5.8 to 5.5.
But the common surprise is the liver and lipid stuff — ALT dropping 41 to 22, triglycerides 188 to 121 — way more than the weight loss alone would predict. Appetite suppression gets described as strong but not brutal.
Anyone else seeing liver enzymes or lipids improve out of proportion to scale change? Makes you wonder if the glucagon part is doing something separate.
Week 24 is the next visit and the next data point.
