How are you sorting peptide approvals from the maybe-reviewed pile?

I lift four days a week, keep protein around 180g, sleep 7-8 hours, and I'm mostly chasing recomp. Every few weeks someone in my gym chat drops a peptide list and acts like the FDA status is about to flip.

I'm skeptical of shortcuts, but I also don't want to be smugly uninformed. What I can't tell: are we talking about a small set of genuinely approved peptides, a bunch sitting in some pending review bucket, or just internet telephone?

I've tried reading the .gov pages and I leave with more tabs than answers. Not asking for protocols or sources-just how other lifters decide when a peptide claim deserves attention versus a shrug.

If you've sorted approved-versus-pending in plain English, what's yor mental filter?

I’d separate “FDA-approved product with an actual label” from “compoundable under 503A” from “research-use-only,” because gym chats mash all three together. My filter is boring: name, approved indication, trial phase, whether endpoints are body comp or just surrogate labs, and whether I can find a package insert or PubMed entry.

I’m a daily weigher, but I only judge changes off a 10-day trend plus lifts and protein, so hype doesn’t get a vote. Sharp question: are you trying to vet actual approvals, or just sort which claims have human body-comp data?
