I’m letting the next big readout stay background noise

I lift four days a week, keep protein near 150g, and treat sleep like a non-negotiable. Every time a big GLP-1 readout lands, my squirrel brain wants to chase the next shiny thing before I’ve even finished my own week.

So I checked my log instead: six weeks, scale down 1.8 lb, waist down about 0.75 in, and my main lifts are holding with an extra rep or two on the last set. Not dramatic, but it’s the part I can repeat.

Anyone else let the headlines stay background noise while you keep grinding on recomp?

Hi, brand new here and only on week one, so this is really reassuring to read. The “check my own log instead of the shiny thing” part lands.

I’ve started a tiny phone note: one line a day for sleep, protein, and whether my rings feel tight. No big data yet, but it keeps me from spiraling.

Quick question: when you track waist, do you use the same spot every time, like at the navel, or the narrowest point? I measured twice last week, got different numbers, and immediately wanted to overthink it.

Thanks for posting something so steady.
