I lost 52 lbs over about 14 months and got down to a size 12 jeans. Then my routine slid, I stopped logging, and I regained 27 lbs.
The worst part wasn't the regain — it was the year I spent before restarting, mentally auditioning every failure. I'd think, if I try again and stall, I'll feel stupid.
If I ask for help, people will judge me. If I track every bite, I'll be obsessed.
So I did nothing and kept wearing the same two pairs of leggings.
Last Tuesday I finally went to the grocery store and prepped three lunches. That's it. Not a whole new life, just three containers. It felt embarrassingly small and also like a door opening. I'm not pretending I won't have bad weeks, but I'm tired of letting my imagination vote.
For those who've restarted after a regain: what was the first tiny thing that actually got you moving again?
