I kept reading about preserving muscle on GLP-1s and then doing nothing about it. About 12 weeks ago I finally put two 25-minute sessions on my calendar, Tuesday and Saturday, using adjustable dumbbells in my basement. Started with 5s, now using 15s for most sets, 3 sets of 8-10. Nothing heroic.
The scale has been slow, maybe 1 lb every 10 days, but my waist tape is down 2 inches and my work shirts fit differently. In the trials, lean mass loss is one of the things people track, so I get why folks worry, but I was using that worry as procrastination.
The first two weeks were mostly me figuring out form and being sore. Now it's just a habit, like brushing my teeth.
Mild frustration: I wish I'd started when I first thought about it. Anyone else notice clothes changing before the scale?
