210 grams of protein got easier once I stopped treating it like a meal and started treating it like a timeline. For the first month on a GLP-1, I couldn't finish a normal dinner without feeling stuffed for hours. My old plan was three big meals and a shake, and it failed hard.
I was lifting four days a week, hitting maybe 120g protein, and my squat reps felt flat by week three. What worked for me was spreading it: 40g at breakfast, 30g mid-morning, 40g lunch, 30g afternoon, then whatever I could manage at dinner.
Greek yogurt, egg whites, chicken, canned tuna, and a whey/casein blend did the heavy lifting. I also started logging protein first and calories second, because appetite was the bottleneck, not willpower.
The weird part is my weight loss slowed while my waist kept dropping and my lifts stabilized. I stopped chasing a huge deficit and just made sure I gto protein and carbs around training. Not saying this is universal, just my data.
By month four I was at 178 lb, waist down 3.25 inches, and my top squat single was only 10 lb below my pre-GLP-1 best. The tradeoff was eating felt like a part-time job. If you're a longtime lifter, protein timing may matter more than the scale for keeping muscle. Track it like you track your main lifts.
