Night shift, GLP-1, and that MT2 libido chatter

I work nights. Sleep is a rumor. I lurk here because GLP-1 killed my appetite and most of my patience for hype. Every few months the same peptide thread pops up: MT2 and sex drive. I’m a woman, mid-40s. On a GLP-1 for 14 months. Down 61 lb. My libido didn’t get a magic reboot.

It got better when I slept more than five hours and stopped feeling like a guest in my own body. I’m not injecting tan juice to fix a bedroom issue. That’s not a plan. But I’m curious if any other women here saw a real shift, or if it’s just forum noise plus placebo. Keep it plain. What changed, if anything?

I’ll gently push back on the sleep-first framing. Sleep mattered for me too, but it was necessary-not-sufficient.

I’m also mid-40s, maintaining after GLP-1 loss, and my libido tracked less with one good night and more with two boring things: eating actual meals before my shift instead of grazing at 3am, and lifting twice a week. I kept a dumb 1–10 note for six weeks—sleep, food timing, libido—and the best days followed consistent meals plus two decent nights, not one heroic 8-hour.

Curious: when you say it got better with >5 hours, was that immediate or did it take a couple weeks of steadier sleep? The delay surprised me.
