I've logged every meal for 112 days and my weight won't move

Honestly, today is day 112 of tracking every single bite. My weight has been parked at 187 for nine weeks. I'm eating 1400-1600 calories, walking 8k steps most days, lifting twice a week. I'm not looking to change my dose or anything medical.

I'm just frustrated and wondering if anyone else hit a wall this long. What non-dose thing actually helped you get the scale moving again? Or did you just have to wait it out? I'm determined but running low on patience.

Nine weeks is long enough that I'd ask one boring question: what's your Saturday look like? There was a thread here last fall we ended up calling "the weekend tax" — a bunch of us audited our logs and found we were 2-3k over our weekly target without ever logging a single "cheat," just loose Saturdays and a few unweighed oils.

Not saying that's you, but it's the first thing I check.

Second: when did you last use a tape measure instead of the scale? I parked at 191 for eleven weeks a couple years back while my jeans kept getting looser. Weight is the last number to move and the first one we stare at. What's your waist doing since week three?

Flat scale for 9 weeks makes me ask: are your lifts and waist measurements actually moving? I lift 4x and had a similar stall until I tracked a 7-day weight average, waist at navel, and top sets. Turns out I was recomping—waist down, lifts up, scale parked. If those are flat too, I’

Nine weeks is long enough to be real, not just water. The non-dose thing that helped me was zooming out: I switched from daily weigh-ins to a 7-day average plus waist measurements and how clothes fit.

I also found I was underestimating oils, bites, and weekend grazing by a few hundred calories. A planned 10-day maintenance break—same protein, more carbs, no deficit—reset my diet fatigue and I started losing again after.

Have you compared weekday vs. weekend steps and intake? That was my sneaky stall.

late-night gamer here. my wall broke when i started weighing the stuff i was half-ass logging: oil in the pan, coffee creamer, peanut butter, and the handful of chips while waiting for queue.

also my “1400-1600” was more like 1900 on sat/sun. sharp q: are you weighing or still using cups/spoons?

i also swapped soda for flavored sparkling water and added a 10 min walk after my last meal to kill the 1am snack creep. scale finally moved after a couple weeks.

not saying that’s your issue, just what got me unstuck.

If you're only lifting twice a week, that's not much of a recomp stimulus. At 1400–1600 and 8k steps, your body may have downshifted NEAT and you're spinning your wheels. What helped me: 3–4 lifting days, protein

Fellow spreadsheet nerd here. My 8-week flatline broke when I split weekday vs. weekend trendlines.

My 8k average hid 2k Saturdays, and I was eating back ~200/day from my watch. Stopped trusting the watch calories and only counted planned cardio. Scale started moving 0.4/wk.

Have you checked your weekend step/calorie splits separately? That’s what flagged it for me.

Daily weigher here. Nine weeks at exactly 187 would make me check the scale itself: put a 10 lb dumbbell on it, then a full gallon of water (8.34 lb).

Mine had drifted and was hiding a 1.5 lb loss. Also, are you comparing same conditions?

For me, the trend line broke when I stopped chasing weekly and only looked at 28-day averages. Flat stretches are usually noise + glycogen/water.

You're doing the boring work; the data will move.

I’d be curious whether you’re weighing food vs. using cups/spoons—for me, a “1400–1600” range hid a few hundred calories of oils and nibbles unless I weighed the annoying stuff for a week. The non-dose thing that helped my long flatline was tracking waist/hips and monthly photos, not just the scale, plus keeping breakfast and lunch identical for two weeks to cut decision fatigue.

Did your clothes or waist change at all during those nine weeks, or is it flat everywhere?
