Since January I’ve received 11 survey invites: clinic intake, pharmacy follow-up, two academic studies, and a pile of market-research ones. I used to open everything. Now I screen first: who’s running it, what’s the actual endpoint, is compensation disclosed before the screener, and can I see a consent form.
If it takes 20 minutes to ask about my appetite and then routes me to a $500 program pitch, I’m out. I completed two: one was a proper longitudinal survey with clear privacy language; the other was a 6-minute questionnaire that respected my time.
My rule is simple: no identifiable data, no vague 'wellness' sponsors, no surprise sales funnel. I’ll do my part for data, but not for lead generation. Anyone else tightened their filter lately?
