Under 200 on unpostable habits

I never built the plan people talk about. No macro streak, no training block, no list of allowed foods. What I have is a handful of habits that survived contact with real life: protein at breakfast, a walk after lunch, and eating sitting down instead of standing at the counter.

Somewhere in there my weight slipped under 200 and kept drifting a little further. I noticed on an ordinary Monday, not a milestone one. My last thirty weigh-ins sit inside a six-pound band, and that band has held for about eight months.

The loose version is what stuck. Every strict plan I ever ran lasted until a birthday party or a bad Tuesday. This one doesn't have a finish line to fall off.

Not knocking structure. Mine just turned out to be scaffolding I could take down once the house stood on its own.

Anyone else maintaining on habits too plain to post about?

This resonates. The habits that lasted for me were similarly unglamorous: I weigh most mornings but only pay attention to the weekly average, and I keep a small bowl of prepped protein in the fridge so lunch does not become a scavenger hunt.

The weekly average has been oddly calming; one high day no longer sends me into a spiral. I am curious, though — when you say the weight kept drifting, did you change anything once you crossed 200, or did the same three habits simply become more consistent?

I am trying to tell the difference between adding a new rule and deepening the old ones.

the sitting-down one is slept on. i’m a late-night gamer and used to house snacks at my desk during queue times, basically standing/eating hybrid chaos.

swapped my soda for those little sparkling waters + a squeeze of lime first, then made one rule: if i’m chewing, the game pauses and i’m at the table. the pause is what killed the mindless extra 400 cals, not willpower.

did you ever clock which habit did the heavy lifting, or is
