I'm a daily weigher, but I've learned to treat the number like weather and the trend line like climate. Fourteen weeks in, I'm down 23 lbs, but the last 10 days the scale bounced between 213 and 215 and I felt that old itch to panic.
Instead I opened my monthly photo folder: same mirror, same lighting, first of the month. Month 1 vs month 4 showed my waistband going from 38 to 34, and my old XL tee is now a sleep shirt while L fits. The photos showed change the scale was hiding in water noise.
I still log daily and zoom out to the 7-day trend, but the side-by-sides keep me patient when the number just sits there. Anyone else use a monthly visual check to stay calm?
